Introduction
CJPaws was
established in 2005. We have been showing Maine Coons for the last five
years, traveling through the Eastern United States and Canada. We
adopted our first show kitten, "Sheldon," from Catgo
Maine Coons. After showing
Sheldon, Joe and I decided we wanted to further our dedication to the
Maine Coons by starting our own cattery in Senecaville, Ohio.
We dearly love the breed
and have owned several over the last 20 years. A special thanks to our
Mentors: Marilyn and Scott McBane, who have helped Joe and I for the
last two years. With their patience and encouragement, we have learned
about the Maine Coon Breed and showing in CFA.
Mission Statement
CJPAWS is a small home
cattery, consisting of four breeding females and two breeding
males.
Please take a look at how the cats live in our
home. Our philosophy is to raise healthy and fun-loving kittens, which
are well socialized for their new homes. We HCM and SMA screen. Our
males and females are heart screened at one year of age and each year
thereafter.
Cat Associations
Our cats are registered
with CFA (Cat Fanciers Association). We are associate members of
Western
Pennsylvania Cat Fanciers’ and Cleveland Persian
Society. We are also
members of Great Lakes Great Maines (GLGM) with Cindy being Acting
Treasurer of this organization. GLGM is a cat club devoted to the health
and welfare of Maine Coon Cats. Cindy is also a member of the Maine Coon
Breed Council. Joe and Cindy are members of the National Maine Coon
Breed Association.
Philosophy
Our cattery does not
cage our cats. They are our pets as well as breeding cats. Kittens are
raised underfoot with love from our entire family. CJPaws kittens are $600.00,
and are sold as indoor pets. They are NOT to be
declawed.

Our Guarantee
Kittens are guaranteed
Felv/Fiv negative and are guaranteed to be free of bacterial diseases
and free of parasites. The kittens will go home with two sets of
immunizations for Feline Rhinotrachetis-Calici-Panleukopenia. The
kittens will be wormed and certified healthy by a veterinarian. I do NOT
recommend the Feline Leukemia or FIP vaccines.
The most important thing
for us is the continuation of healthy and happy kittens. To ensure this
we require all CJPaws Maine Coon owners to agree to the following:
• Never allow your cat outdoors
• Never declaw
• Provide a nutritious diet and fresh water daily
• Provide appropriate veterinary care
• Provide lots of love and affection
